This set of four 10-inch dinner plates from Churchill China is made of English earthenware and decorated with a traditional Thanksgiving motif that creates a vintage holiday atmosphere suitable for casual or fine dining. The pattern features a plump Thanksgiving turkey in the wild and is ringed with seasonal holiday foliage. The design is based on original engravings and applied with the centuries-old technique of transfer printing in a detailed and multi-stepped process. These are nice colorful Thanksgiving plates. I had hoped they would be a little larger, but for the price they are a nice value and will look nice for the holiday meal. Won't worry about breakage w/ family use and won't have to use paper Thanksgiving plates anymore!!

I bought 3 sets of these plates as a Christmas gift for my mother-in-law, she really wanted turkey motif dinnerware, and Amazon was the only place I could find them on such short notice (because I didn't buy them at an "after Thanksgiving" sale). She really loves them. The only thing I wasn't pleased by was the depth of the colors. They look nicer in the online photo, than they do in reality. They are a little on the pinkish colored side instead of the darker brown and green as shown in the picture. Other than that, I really am pleased with them as well, and I got them shipped to me right in time for Christmas Day !

I purchased 8 of the dinner plates and 8 of the salad plates for Thanksgiving. When I received them, 2 of the plates were chipped which Amazon immediately sent replacements (Amazon was wonderful) but almost every plate has a blemish. I do not think that these plates are first quality. The plates are not as pretty and colorful as is pictured here either.

As to the origin of the plates as mentioned by some, mine are stamped that they are made in Colombia.

I wanted turkey plates for Thanksgiving for a long time and was disappointed with these. If you can get them for a good buy then go for it but if not, I would look further.

These plates are absolutely lovely! However, I was a bit surprised at how small they were for a dinner plate. I guess I didn't realize how big 10 1/2 inches actually was for a plate. But, they're gorgeous none the less, and I'm so excited to get to use them this Thanksgiving!

These dinner plates are the perfect plates for our Thanksgiving dinner table. They are beautiful and unique. I've never seen any dishes like these before. The colors on the plates are bright but not overly so. Every detail is so enriched in American tradition that only comes to light with greater examination. These plates will become a family heirloom.
