Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
In this book, author Scott Kelby tackles the most important side of of digital photography--how to take pro-quality shots using the same tricks today s top digital pros use (and it s easier than you d think). This isn t a book of theory - full of confusing jargon and detailed concepts. This is a book of which button to push, which setting to use, when to use them, and nearly two hundred of the most closely guarded photographic tricks of the trade to get you shooting dramatically better-looking, sharper, more colorful, more professional-looking photos with your digital camera every time you press the shutter button. Another thing that makes this book different is that each page covers just one trick, just one single concept that makes your photography better. Every time you turn the page, you ll learn another pro setting, another pro tool, another pro trick to transform your work from snapshots into gallery prints. So if you re tired of taking shots that look OK, and if youre tired of looking in photography magazines and thinking, Why don t my shots look like that? then this is the book for you.

4 out of 5 stars Good read   October 10, 2008
Everardo (Phoenix, AZ United States)
After reading several reviews and checking the book out at a local store I purchased it on the spot. I'm also ok with Scott's humor and I think it kept the book light hearted enough. I really like the point of view and how he just explains things as if you were just chatting with him (As he meant this book to be and says so in the beginning). It's a very easy read and quick reference.

4 out of 5 stars A Must Have Digital Photography Book   October 6, 2008
Jerry L. Reynolds (Ft. Collins CO, USA)
As in all of Scott Kelby's books; Scott again brings forward in a very humorous manner, the essentials of digital photography. Although Scott brings out his biases about cameras and techniques, one can use this book in any situation.

5 out of 5 stars Great Info...and Humor   October 5, 2008
Smullis (Colorado)
Unlike a previous review, I liked the humor. Reading a dull, 'school book' is not my thing. You can learn a lot from this book and not fall asleep doing it. I have read several of Scott's books and like them all BECAUSE they are funny at the same time they are teaching you the facts that you need to take good shots...or work an Adobe program. I'm just a serious amateur, but I've shot some events that are important to friends and the information in this book was valuable.

5 out of 5 stars Digital Photography   September 30, 2008
Rodney Newkirk
I read the book not once but twice and found Scott's presentations very short and concise. Each page of the book has an item of interest with a very informative narration. I would recommend this book to anyone starting the love of photography.

5 out of 5 stars Great Book full of helpful tips   September 30, 2008
M. Nunes (Auburn, CA USA)
This is a great book that is very easy to read and follow. It is filled with great tips that you can apply immediately. You will see an improvement in the quality of your photos. I'd recommend this book to all photographers; novice or advanced.
