Product Description

'I've always been a girls' girl. And I know from experience that making the very best of yourself is something any woman can do. I was never the six-foot-tall pin-up. I've always been the girl-next-door who got lucky. I've come a long way in the last ten years, but this book isn't my attempt to tell you what or what not to do. It's just to share some of what I've learned.'

In That Extra Half an Inch, a tongue-in-cheek reference to her love of high heels, Beckham shares her tips for finding your own style including:

  • Learning how to dress for special occasions
  • Shopping for everyday wear and where to look for it
  • Accessories: defining the looks that work best for you
  • Helpful hints for the holidays
  • Making the most of your wardrobe
  • How to feel confident and look great every time you leave the house

That Extra Half an Inch is a beautiful, nothing-but-the truth, easy-to-use book on fashion, beauty and style. Victoria shares her personal style secrets so whether you're getting ready for work, a night out on the town or even doing the school run, you too can feel confident and look great every time you step out of the front door.

5 out of 5 stars Helpful   September 30, 2008

I really likes this book, it was helpful and it gave great tips on not only fashion but hair and make up too. Victoria Beckham has an eye for fashion and reading her tips u can see that. Also the pics in the book of her are amazing

3 out of 5 stars Flashy but disappointing   September 19, 2008

Gorgeous photography in this book, but of course Victoria is stunning so its hard to go wrong. Besides the pictures though, not much substance. Rather boring.

5 out of 5 stars Loved it!   September 14, 2008

I love everything about fashion, beauty, glamour, etc. and decided to add this book to my collection. I enjoyed this book and refer from it from time to time!

3 out of 5 stars Not sure what to think   September 13, 2008
Katerina Wirth (Luxembourg)
It's not really what I'd expected. I was hoping to find out some insider tips and tricks, something that would make me go "AHA!". Instead, her book is full of advice that you can find in any women's magazine, really.
So, on the point of advice, it fell flat.
Of course, I am not a millionaire, so I won't be rushing out to buy a Fendi bag or Blahnik heels any time soon, either.
That leaves me with H&M, I guess ;)
In hindsight, I wish I hadn't bought this book. I don't feel it gave me anything new.

4 out of 5 stars Beach read   September 1, 2008

I was not sure what I was expecting out of this book so I had no preconceived notions when I bagan. I really enjoyed reading this. I am a girl so naturally I love fashion. I found this book to be for me. I cant afford half of her recomendations, but its a fun book. One can apply many of her suggestions into our world of reality paychecks. I have always thought she has such a great style. I only bought this because I am a huge fan, but that doesnt mean one would neccessarily have to be a fan of VB to get something out of the book. Plus she's much funnier than I would have thought.
